Life's Most

Important Question

In your personal opinion, What do you understand it takes for a person to go to Heaven?

How does the Bible answer this question?

There is a word that can be
used to answer this question...

F is for FORGIVENESS
One cannot have eternal life and heaven without Forgiveness.

The Bible says, "In Him (meaning Jesus) we have redemption through His blood, the forgiveness of sins." (Ephesians 1:7a)

A is for AVAILABLE
Forgiveness is Available for All.

The Bible says, "For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish, but have everlasting life." (John 3:16)

Forgiveness is not Automatic.
The Bible says, "Not everyone who says unto me, 'Lord, Lord,'  shall enter the kingdom of heaven" (Matthew 7:21a)

I is for IMPOSSIBLE
It is Impossible for God to allow sin into heaven.
God is LOVE.

The Bible says, "For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish, but have everlasting life." (John 3:16)

God is JUST.

The Bible says, "For judgment is without mercy" (James 2:13a)

Man is SINFUL.

The Bible says, "For all have sinned and come short of the glory of God" (Romans 3:23)

Question: But how can a sinful person enter heaven, where God allows no sin?

T is for TURN
Turn means to repent (change direction)
If you are going the wrong way on a road, you must turn around and go the right way.

TURN from something - sin and self.

The Bible says, "But unless you repent, you shall all likewise perish." (Luke 13:3b)

TURN to someone; trust Christ only.

The Bible says, "Christ died for our sins according to the Scriptures, and that He was buried, and that He rose again the third day according to the Scriptures." (I Cor 15:3b-4)

"If you will confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus, and believe in your heart that God has raised Him from the dead, you will be saved" (Romans 10:9)

H is for HEAVEN
Heaven is Eternal Life.
HERE and NOW.

The Bible says, "I am come that they may have life and that they may have it more abundantly"
(John 10:10b)

HEREAFTER.
The Bible says, "And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again, and receive you to Myself; that where I am, there you may be also" (John 14:3)

HOW?
How can a person have God's forgiveness, heaven, eternal life, and Jesus as a personal Savior and Lord?  This is accomplished through a heartfelt prayer:

"Dear God, I admit that I am a sinner.  I want to be forgiven.  I believe that Jesus died on the cross for my sins.  I repent of my sins.  Please forgive me, come into my life and be my Savior and Lord. Amen."

If  you prayed this prayer and meant it, welcome to the Family of God! You have just made the most important decision of your life. You can be sure you are saved and have eternal life.  Receiving Jesus into your life is only the beginning of a wonderful life-changing experience.

Now What?
Remember that you need to identify with Christ.  You need to become part of a Bible-believing church.  We will rejoice with you, receive you, and help you grow as a Christian.

"These things I have written to you who believe in the name of the Son of God, that you may know that you have eternal life, and that you may continue to believe in the name of the Son of God."
(I John 5:13)

Today, I accept Christ as my Savior.
